Robert H. Easton

Robert H. Easton has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal and compliance field. Robert H. started their career as a Litigation Associate at Sidley Austin LLP in 1997. From 2000 to 2007, they served as the Deputy Solicitor General in the Division of Appeals & Opinions at the Office of the New York State Attorney General. During this time, they received the National Association of Attorneys General's "Best Brief" Award twice for their submissions to U.S. courts.

In 2007, Easton joined the New York State Insurance Department as the Deputy Superintendent & General Counsel. Robert H. provided guidance and oversight on legal and policy matters related to financial services regulation. As the third-ranking official in the agency, they were a featured speaker at various engagements and conferences.

From 2010 to 2011, Easton worked at INTEGRO - International Integrated Insurance Brokers LLC as the Deputy General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer & Risk Manager.

In 2011, Easton became the Executive Deputy Superintendent in the Insurance Division of the New York State Department of Financial Services. In this role, they oversaw a staff of 750 and regulated life, health, and property and casualty insurance companies with aggregate assets of $4.2 trillion.

Moving forward, Easton joined S&P Global as the Senior Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer in 2015. Robert H. held this position until 2016.

From 2016 to 2023, Easton served as the Senior Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer & Deputy General Counsel at Marsh McLennan. In this role, they partnered with business leaders globally to advance commercial growth objectives and initiatives, managed a team of 250 colleagues, and oversaw an annual budget of $70 million.

In 2019, Easton became a Member of the Board of Managers at Coinbase Custody Trust Company, LLC, a subsidiary of Coinbase. Robert H. served as an outside director, contributing to the development and maturation of internal governance and controls.

Currently, since April 2023, Easton holds the position of Vice President & General Counsel at Plymouth Rock Assurance.
