James Winders has a diverse work experience spanning over 10 years. James started their career as a Jet Operator at Guilford Performance Textiles before being promoted to Lean Champion. In this role, they led multiple Rapid Improvement Events and conducted standard work studies, resulting in significant annual savings. James then joined Eaton as a Lean Manager and later became a Value Stream Manager, where they improved safety metrics and achieved bottom line savings through Kaizen activities. After that, they worked at Ingersoll Rand as a Change Agent, supporting Lean Transformation and implementing strategies for improvement. James'smost recent position is with Plymouth Tube Company, where they have held various roles including Manufacturing Excellence Manager and currently, Director of Plymouth Business Systems. In these roles, they have achieved notable achievements such as stabilizing a struggling business, implementing Lean cultures, and driving operational improvements. James Winders has demonstrated strong leadership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills throughout their career.

James Winders received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Austin Peay State University. James later pursued their Executive Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Strategic Leadership from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. In addition to their formal education, James has obtained several certifications including being a Certified Safety Residual Risk Reduction (R3) Trainer/Facilitator from Plymouth Tube Company, a Certified Lean Leader from Ingersoll Rand, a Certified 9 Step Problem Solving Trainer from Ingersoll Rand, a Certified Green Belt from Guilford Performance Textiles, and a Certified Lean Master, also from Guilford Performance Textiles.
