Gaurav Soni

Gaurav Soni is a software engineer in test currently working at Avalara since December 2023, focusing on building end-to-end automation infrastructure for a cross-border calcification product using Python, Playwright, and Pytest. Prior to this, Gaurav held roles at PMC Retail from September 2018 to April 2024, initially as a senior automation test analyst, where expertise included developing a BDD framework for multi-language web and mobile interfaces and creating a custom API automation framework. Gaurav then advanced to the position of automation lead, managing automation development and training initiatives. Earlier experience includes an automation engineer role at Thomson Reuters from April 2016 to September 2018, where Gaurav automated functional and REST API test cases in an Agile environment and optimized automation frameworks. Gaurav holds a Master of Science in Information Technology from the Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications from St. Xavier's College, Ahmedabad.
