John McCarthy

John McCarthy is an experienced electrical engineer currently working at PM Group since June 2022. Previous roles include Senior Engineer at EirGrid from January 2021 to May 2022, responsible for maintenance planning and execution on a transmission network, and Project/Test Engineer at Hivar Engineering from June 2017 to September 2019. John also served as a Power Systems Engineer at Premium Power from July 2014 to June 2017, contributing to electrical engineering consultancy projects for large-scale industries. Academically, John holds a Master of Engineering Science in Sustainable Energy from University College Cork, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electrical Power Systems and a Bachelor of Engineering (Ordinary) in Electrical Engineering from Munster Technological University.
