Carsten Buehrer

Carsten Buehrer has held various roles throughout their career. Carsten started their work experience as a General Manager at Trithor GmbH from June 1999 to July 2005. Carsten then moved on to Zenergy Power GmbH, where they served as Geschäftsführer/CEO from July 2005 to March 2012. During this time, they focused on manufacturing and developing components and applications with High Temperature Superconductors. In 2006, Carsten Buehrer became the CTO at Zenergy Power plc until December 2011. Carsten was responsible for the development and manufacture of components and applications utilizing High Temperature Superconductors. Carsten Buehrer joined ECO 5 GmbH in August 2012 and held multiple roles, including Managing Partner, Partner of ECO 5 Team, and finally, as Managing Director until November 2021. In October 2019, they became the Head of Technology at PNE AG and currently holds this position.

Carsten Buehrer obtained their education in the field of Physics and Medical Sciences. From 1990 to 1999, they attended Friedrich Wilhelms Universität Bonn and the University of New South Wales Sydney, where they earned a Diplom (Masters) and a PhD degree.
