Manuel Sanchez

Manuel Sanchez has extensive work experience in the energy industry. Manuel started their career at Tucson Electric Power in 1986, where they held various engineering positions related to generation production modeling, transmission planning, and relay systems design. In 1992, they joined Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM) and served in roles such as Manager of Electric Distribution Planning and Manager of Transmission Contracts. In their most recent position as Director of Power Operations at PNM, they were responsible for overseeing the safe and reliable operation of the company's bulk electric system. Manuel Sanchez has demonstrated expertise in power operations, transmission contracts, distribution planning, and generation production modeling throughout their career.

Manuel Sanchez completed their Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems from New Mexico State University. Manuel attended the university from 1981 to 1985.
