Daniel Olshansky has a wealth of experience in software engineering and protocol engineering. In 2010, they began their career as an Office Assistant at the Toronto District School Board. In 2011, they became a Mobile Software Engineer at ModiFace Inc. and then in 2012, they worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Twitter. In 2013, they were a Software Engineering Intern at Google and then in 2014, they returned to Twitter as a Software Engineer. In 2016, they worked as an AR Cloud Pipeline Tech Lead, Senior Software Engineer and Cloud Api Engineer at Magic Leap. In 2018, they joined Pocket Network Inc. as a Protocol Engineering Lead, Senior Protocol Specialist and Advisor. Daniel also worked as a TIP Contributor at The Investors Podcast. In 2020, they joined Waymo as a Senior Software Engineer and Data Science Infrastructure on the Planner Evaluation team. Most recently, in 2021, they became the CEO of GetSoils.
Daniel Olshansky obtained their Ontario Secondary School Diploma from William Lyon Mackenzie Collegiate Institute between 2006 and 2010. Daniel then attended the University of Toronto from 2010 to 2014, graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering (Engineering Science). During their time at the University of Toronto, they were also awarded a Dean's Honours List Certificate from the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering in 2010. In addition, Daniel has obtained several certifications, including Learn Advanced C++ Programming from Udemy in 2020, Machine Learning from Coursera in 2019, Cisco Networking Academy Certification: IT Essentials and Focus in Information Technology (FIT) from Cisco in 2010, and Cisco Networking Academy Certification: Fundamentals of Java Programming from Cisco in 2009.
