Faruk Sahin has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Faruk started their career as an intern at IBM in 2007. Faruk then worked as a software engineer at Smartsoft IT from 2008 to 2009. After that, they joined Motorola where they completed their Master's thesis, focusing on porting the KreaTV application platform to a standard Linux PC. Faruk then worked as a software engineer at Ericsson from 2011 to 2012 before moving on to AgilOne as a software engineer.
In 2013, Faruk joined Spotify, first as a senior software engineer where they designed and built highly scalable web APIs. Faruk also created an Artist Explorer project during a hackweek. Later, they became a product manager in the Platform department at Spotify, responsible for the product vision and execution of Spotify's Web Playback and remote control SDKs.
In 2018, Faruk joined Sana Labs as the Director of Product, leading a team that reimagines the way people learn. Faruk later served as VP of Engineering, overseeing the technical aspects of Sana Labs' personalized learning platform. Currently, Faruk is working as the VP of Product & Engineering at Pocketlaw since 2023.
Faruk Sahin obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from Yıldız Technical University in the years 2004 to 2008. Faruk then pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Linköping University between 2009 and 2011.
