Stefan Messmer

Stefan Messmer is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in software engineering and leadership roles. Currently serving on the Board of Directors at Podcastschmiede since January 2023, Stefan holds the position of CTO and Co-Founder at kindergarten.io, a role maintained since January 2015. From October 2020 to September 2024, responsibilities included leading software engineering at Zalando SE. Prior experience includes serving as CTO at Fision AG (March 2016 - October 2020) and a software engineering position at mp technology AG (April 2011 - January 2016), where development of a financial portfolio application for iOS was a key project. Early career development involved an internship at Varian Medical Systems focused on creating a patient positioning prototype, and a teaching assistant role at ETH Zurich. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from ETH Zürich, as well as an MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology.
