Shaleigh M. Hicks, MBA, MLS (ASCP)cm has a strong background in clinical laboratory work. Shaleigh M. started their career in 2007 as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at Pointe Coupee General Hospital, where they were responsible for specimen processing, test performance, and reporting test results. Shaleigh M. then moved on to WEST FELICIANA PARISH HOSPITAL in 2012 as a Technical Laboratory Supervisor, where they supervised and trained 9 lab employees and assisted in training staff in computerized equipment and automation techniques. In 2017, they returned to Pointe Coupee General Hospital as the Laboratory Director, where they currently manage a team of 29 staff members and oversees recruitment, training, scheduling, and employee assignments.

Before that, Shaleigh also achieved a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge in 2004.
