Alain Métivier

Alain Métivier has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Alain is currently working at Poka Inc. as an Engineering Manager, Backend. Alain joined the company in July 2022 after serving as the Team Lead, Engineering Backend since November 2021.

Prior to their role at Poka Inc., Alain worked at Ubisoft Montréal for a significant period of time. Alain began as a Tools Developer in October 2008 and later became the Programming Team Lead in December 2015. As a Tools Developer, they were responsible for programming software tools to support and enhance the productivity of the department and video game design. Alain worked on various systems including a multi-platform compilation and automatic testing system for game consoles.

Before joining Ubisoft Montréal, Alain was the IT Manager at QUSAC Decaf from June 2003 to September 2008.

Alain Métivier's education history began in 2001 when they attended Collège de Valleyfield, where they obtained a Diplôme d'études collégiales in Informatique. Alain then enrolled at Université TÉLUQ in 2013 to pursue a Certificat en informatique, although this degree was not completed, as indicated by the "non complété - 12 crédits" status.
