Lassi Rieppo

Lassi Rieppo is a Senior Researcher at Polar Electro Oy since August 2021, specializing in algorithm development, artificial intelligence, and data science. Previously, Lassi was a Senior Researcher at the University of Oulu from February 2015 to August 2021, leading research on assessing melanoma aggressiveness and teaching biomedical engineering courses while supervising students. Lassi also holds experience as an Academy of Finland Postdoctoral Fellow, conducting data analysis of mid-infrared spectroscopy data, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher focusing on the analysis of cartilage structure. Additional roles include Research Scientist at GrainSense and Chief Technology Officer at TPC MediSys. Lassi earned a Ph.D. in Medical Physics from the University of Eastern Finland and serves as an Adjunct Professor in Biomedical Physics at the University of Oulu.
