Scott Nichol

Scott Nichol is an accomplished entrepreneur and engineer with extensive experience in the materials and solar industries. As the Founder and Chairman of the Board at Polar Performance Materials since March 2013, Scott has led the manufacture of high purity aluminum oxide. Additionally, as COO of Jaco SolarSi since May 2011, Scott oversees the production of MG Si and Solar Grade Si. Previously, Scott founded 6N Silicon Inc, where significant advancements were made in the purification of silicon for solar cells, serving as President and CTO from January 2007 to February 2011. Scott's earlier roles include Director of Casting Technology at Cymat Technologies and Vice-President at The Rand Corporation, where Scott established a secondary aluminum smelting start-up. Academic credentials include an MBA from Western University and a degree in Materials and Metallurgy from McMaster University.
