Nicole Townsell

Nicole Townsell, Social Media Manager for the Office of the President and CEO, helps uplift ways that foster an equitable future for all people while centering the 100 million people in the US living in or near poverty. Before PolicyLink, Nicole was the Communications Coordinator for the San Francisco Office of Financial Empowerment (OFE) under the leadership of the Treasurer & Tax Collector of San Francisco for three years. There she led her office’s social media, newsletter, and website design and deepened her love for economic justice and the fight against income inequality. Born in Fairfield, California, she identifies as a Black bi-racial woman that comes from a family of generational poverty. She is a first-generation college student and uses her multicultural background and lived experience to help serve her community. In her spare time, she loves engaging in anything centered around art, design, and economic justice.
