Shawna Davie

Shawna Davie serves as the Community Engagement and Field Director at PolicyLink, beginning in February 2024. Previously, Shawna held key roles such as Director of Race, Equity and Leadership at the National League of Cities from June 2021 to February 2024, and Regional Manager for the Government Alliance on Race and Equity (GARE) at the Center for Social Inclusion from August 2017 to June 2021. Shawna was also the GARE South Region Manager at Race Forward during the same period. Earlier experience includes serving as Program Associate at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Executive Director of Alignment Jackson for the United Way of the Capital Area. Shawna started career at the ACLU of Mississippi as the Reproductive Freedom Project Coordinator, and was an active leader as the Student Government Association President at Jackson State University. Shawna holds a Master's in Public Administration from Baruch College and a Bachelor's in English from Jackson State University.
