Artur Pokropek

Artur Pokropek has a strong background in computational social science and data analysis. Artur started their career as a Research and Development Scientist at the Central Examination Board, National Value-Added Research Group in 2006, where they later became the Head of the Statistical Modelling Section. In 2008, they joined the Polish Academy of Sciences as a Research Assistant and later became an Associate Professor and the Head of the Computational Social Science Division. From 2010 to 2018, they held various roles at the Educational Research Institute, including Assistant Professor, Research Assistant Professor, and Head of the Data Science and Machine Learning Group. Artur also served as an Associate Researcher at the European Commission from 2016 to 2018. Additionally, they worked as a Visiting Researcher at ETS in 2013. Overall, Artur Pokropek has accumulated significant expertise and experience in the field of computational social science and data analysis throughout their various roles.

Artur Pokropek's education history begins in 2003 when they enrolled at the University of Warsaw for a Bachelor's degree in Educational Studies. Artur completed their Bachelor's degree in 2007 and continued their studies in the same field for a Master's degree, which they obtained in 2009.

In 2007, Artur Pokropek also began pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Educational Studies at the University of Warsaw. Artur successfully completed their PhD program in 2011, solidifying their expertise in the field.

From 2011 to 2017, Artur Pokropek attended the Polish Academy of Sciences, focusing on Sociology with a specialization in Statistics and Methods. During this time, they pursued a Habilitation degree, a postdoctoral qualification that is widely recognized in Europe.
