Prof. Uek Jan Byrski

Prof. UEK Jan Byrski, PhD hab., is an accomplished legal academic and practitioner, currently serving as the Chair of the Supervisory Board at XTB since December 2021. With a long-standing affiliation to the University of Economics in Krakow, Jan Byrski has been an Associate Professor since 2011 and has held various academic positions, including Assistant Professor in the Civil and Business Law Department. As a partner and attorney-at-law at Traple Konarski Podrecki & Partners since 2004, Jan Byrski also contributes to several working groups, including those focused on Personal Data and Blockchain at the Ministry of Digitization and as a member of the FinTech working group at the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. Other notable roles include Vice-President of the FinTech Committee at the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and a legal expert for the Polish Chamber of Insurance and the Foundation for the Development of Non-Cash Transactions since 2009. Jan Byrski holds advanced degrees in Law from Jagiellonian University, including a habilitation in Public Business Law, and has participated in several prestigious international academic programs.
