Thomas Vigild's work experience includes a range of roles in various companies and organizations. Thomas is currently the Creative Director and Co-Founder of HV?M, a company that produces live-action puzzle-hunts, escape rooms, and riddles. HV?M's target audience primarily consists of families and school-children, and their clients include municipalities, libraries, and private companies.

In addition to their current role, Thomas served as the Chairman of Guldbrikken, an award that honors the best published board games in Denmark. This position involved overseeing the selection process and categories for the annual award.

Thomas also worked as a Coordinator for SpilBar, a bimonthly event that brings together professionals in the Danish computer games industry. Thomas played a crucial role in organizing and facilitating these gatherings, which included talks and networking opportunities.

Thomas served as an Advisory Board Member for Københavns Kommune Biblioteker, providing advice and insights to the organization.

Thomas worked as an External Consultant for the Norwegian Film Institute, offering their expertise and guidance to support their initiatives.

As a Freelance Journalist and Critic for Weekendavisen and Politiken, Thomas wrote articles, reviews, and features on a wide range of topics, including board games, apps, and digital games. At Politiken, they also took on the role of Game Editor, managing game-related content and overseeing external freelancers.

Thomas has also leveraged their expertise in game design and criticism through their work as the owner of Ludo Consult. In this role, they designed games and escape rooms, delivered lectures, and contributed to various publications, including Weekendavisen, DR, LEGO, and Illustrated Science.

Additionally, Thomas served as an Educator for Vallekilde Højskole, coordinating the Vallekilde Game Design program. This 15-week course focused on game development, design, and criticism, encompassing both board games and digital games.

Lastly, Thomas hosted and conceptualized the Danish Game Award Show, "Spilprisen," during their time with Producentforeningen - Danish Producers' Association. This event celebrates the best Danish digital games across various categories.

Thomas Vigild earned their Master's degree in Musicology and Computer Science from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen from 1997 to 2006. In 2015 to 2016, they pursued a degree in Folk High School Pedagogics / Højskolepædagogisk Uddannelse from Folkehøjskolernes Forening i Danmark, focusing on Humanities/Humanistic Studies. In 2011, they completed a course on Verbal communication & Body language at Danmarks Journalisthøjskole. Thomas also acquired various journalistic skills through several courses at Danmarks Journalisthøjskole, including Interview Technique in 2010, Visual Journalism in 2009, Online-Journalism in 2007, Background Journalism and Feature Journalism in 2003, and News coverage in 2002. Thomas gained experience as a driver in the Danish Army, specifically in the Artillery, from 1999 to 2000 at Kongens Artilleriregiment - The King's Artillery Regiment. Thomas began their academic journey by completing their Studentereksamen at Roskilde Katedralskole from 1994 to 1997. Thomas's most recent education endeavor was at Cantabile 2 in 2022, where they pursued a degree in Creator of Transformative Encounters, specializing in Creating Transformative Encounters.
