Prof. Uek Jan Byrski

Prof. UEK Jan Byrski, PhD hab. serves as the Przewodniczący rady nadzorczej at XTB since December 2021. Additionally, Jan Byrski has been an Associate Professor at the Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny w Krakowie's Instytut Prawa since 2011, previously holding the position of Assistant Professor in the Civil and Business Law Department. As a Partner and Attorney-at-Law at Traple Konarski Podrecki & Partners since 2004, Jan Byrski also holds various significant roles, including membership in working groups related to personal data and blockchain at the Ministerstwo Cyfryzacji, and being a member of the FinTech working group at the Polish Financial Supervision Authority since March 2017. Serving as Vice-President of the FinTech Committee at the Polska Izba Informatyki i Telekomunikacji and a legal expert for the Polish Chamber of Insurance and FROB since 2009, Jan Byrski also contributes to the Advisory Board of IT in Administration. Educational achievements include a Master of Law and Doctor of Law degrees from Jagiellonian University, with further studies at several prestigious institutions. Jan Byrski holds the title of Doctor habilitated of Law in Public Business Law.
