Arnab Basumallik

Arnab Basumallik has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Starting in 1997, they worked as a Marketing Executive at Cipla for two years before moving on to B. Braun Medical, where they served as an Area Sales Manager. In 2002, they transitioned to Panacea Biotec Ltd as a Regional Sales Manager for Karnataka and Kerala.

In 2003, Basumallik joined Richter Themis Medicare (I) Pvt Ltd as a Regional Manager for South India Research Product Division, responsible for sales and business development in Karnataka and Kerala. Arnab later worked at Healthline Pvt Limited (now Nicholas and later Abbot) as a Regional Manager for South and East India, focusing on Critical Care. Subsequently, they joined Time Mauser (now Time Technoplast Ltd) as the Chief Manager for the Medical Devices division.

In 2006, Basumallik became the National Business Head (Marketing & Sales) for Lupin Pharmaceuticals, leading their Critical Care, Rural, and Mass Marketing SBU. Arnab then worked at Ivoclar Vivadent Marketing (India) Private Limited as the Head of Sales, Business Development & Marketing, where they built the company from its early stages to a leadership position in India.

From 2012 to 2017, Basumallik held various roles at Edwards Lifesciences, including Business Unit Head for Critical Care and Vascular Surgery for Greater India. Arnab also served as a Director for Policy, Government Affairs, Public Procurement & Strategy, working closely with industry forums and government departments.

Currently, Basumallik is the Vice President of Renal Care and Government Affairs at Poly Medicure Ltd, where they oversee the company's renal care operations and government relations.

Throughout their career, Basumallik has demonstrated a track record of achieving top-line and bottom-line objectives, formulating policies, and advocating for market access and regulatory compliance in the healthcare industry.

Arnab Basumallik pursued their education in a systematic manner. Arnab obtained a Master's degree in Marketing Management from the University of Pondicherry, focusing on Business Administration and Management, from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Chemistry at the University of Kalyani from 1994 to 1996. Their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Chemistry was earned at Presidency College in Kolkata, where they studied from 1991 to 1994. Before entering university, Arnab Basumallik completed their Higher Secondary education with a focus on Science at B.B.College in Asansol, from 1989 to 1991. Lastly, they attended St Vincent's School in Asansol from 1978 to 1989 for their High School education. In terms of certifications, Arnab Basumallik received a certification in Health Technology Assessment from the Kalam Institute of Health Technology in 2018.
