Romke Ribbels has held the position of Director of Marketing & Business Development at Polyganics since 2015. Prior to this appointment, he served as Global Market & Business Development Manager and International Marketing Manager for ENT Surgery (2013-2015). Romke initially joined the company as Product Manager in 2009, to lead marketing of the company’s Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) and Peripheral nerve repair (PNR) product portfolio.
Romke is a marketing and business development specialist with a strong commercial, managerial and technical track-record in the international medical life sciences industry.
Prior to joining Polyganics, he worked at IQ Products, a global developer, manufacturer and supplier of diagnostic products. As an applied scientist and product specialist, he was involved in several co-development programs with large corporations (such as Abbott Diagnostics) for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) assays for transplantation, oncology, perinatal and environmental purposes. In his roles as Product and Marketing Manager, he successfully oversaw a number of product launches, sales campaigns and global marketing management.
Romke holds a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from The University of Groningen and a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences from Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen. He obtained his EQF6 Marketing manager degree at the Dutch Marketing Institute. In 2017, Romke participated in the executive education program for market-driving strategies at London Business School.
