Rebecca Rettig has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal and policy field. Rebecca is currently serving as the Chief Policy Officer at Polygon Labs since January 2023. Before that, they worked at Aave as the Chief Legal & Policy Officer from March 2021 to December 2022.

Rebecca has also held positions as a Board Member at Silvergate Bank in March 2022 and as a Partner at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP from August 2020 to February 2021. Their practice included handling various litigations such as securities, shareholder derivative, general commercial, and copyright and trademark disputes.

Rebecca started their legal career as an Attorney at Dontzin, Nagy & Fleissig LLP from September 2017 to January 2019. Rebecca also gained experience as an Attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where they were involved in all aspects of trials and pre-trial litigation from October 2006 to August 2017.

In addition, Rebecca served as the Head Law Clerk to the Hon. Katherine B. Forrest at the U.S. District Court from 2011 to 2013 and as a Law Clerk to the Hon. Jose L. Linares at the U.S. District Court from 2007 to 2008. Rebecca also worked as a Legal Extern to the Hon. Sonia Sotomayor at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit from September 2004 to December 2004.

Rebecca Rettig's education history begins with their Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History from Stanford University, which they obtained from 1997 to 2001. Rebecca then went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in History of International Relations at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2001 to 2002. Finally, Rebecca attended Columbia Law School from 2003 to 2006, where they earned their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
