Tim Barker

Tim Barker is a seasoned professional in the medical and scientific affairs field, currently serving as Director of Medical & Scientific Affairs at PolyNovo Limited since July 2016. In this role, Tim ensures the integration of clinical insights throughout the New Product Development process and fosters relationships with key opinion leaders to support product innovation. Prior experience includes positions as Medical Liaison and Senior Manager of Clinical Programs at PolyNovo, Research Governance Leader at Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, and Director roles at Perceptus and Stryker South Pacific. Tim began their career in academia as a Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Engineering at Queensland University of Technology and has held various roles that emphasize clinical research, hospital education, and device commercialization. Tim holds a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Strathclyde and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Queensland.
