Jussi Jurvanen

Jussi Jurvanen serves as the Global Training Manager at Ponsse since June 2015, focusing on training operators and contractors in CTL technology and working methods. Previously, Jussi worked as a Special Education Teacher, instructing Chinese operators in eucalyptus plantations using harvesters and forwarders. With a background as a Simulator Specialist, Jussi emphasizes effective and sustainable CTL practices, particularly in steep slope harvesting. Jussi has extensive teaching experience as a Teacher of Forest Machine Working at South Savo Vocational School in Finland from August 2007 to November 2022, covering machinery operation, maintenance, and service. Prior positions include Forest Operation Manager at C.C.Bois Petroforest, overseeing operations and training, and owning Forest Logging Company Jurvanen. Jussi holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Forestry from Karelia University of Applied Science and has additional educational experience from the Forest University of St. Petersburg and High School Rantasalmi.
