Daniel R. Smith, JD, CMI, is a seasoned property tax attorney with extensive experience representing commercial property owners in valuation and exemption disputes at Popp Hutcheson PLLC since October 2015 and at Ryan since March 2024. Prior to these roles, Daniel served as a partner in the Business Litigation Sections at Husch Blackwell and Brown McCarroll, LLP, focusing on healthcare, construction, intellectual property, employment, and general business matters. Daniel began a legal career at Hilgers & Watkins, P.C. and made initial contributions at Popp Hutcheson PLLC, specializing in property tax litigation. An alumnus of The University of Texas at Austin and Texas Tech University School of Law, Daniel graduated with high honors and honors, respectively.
