Alexandra Velez has over 15 years of experience in risk analytics, compliance, and auditing within the financial sector, currently serving as Risk Analytics & Compliance Manager II at Popular since November 2011. Previous roles at Popular include Audit Operations and Assurance Manager, Lead Operations Officer, Business Analyst, Senior Auditor, and Credit Review and Audit Officer. Alexandra began a career in auditing at KPMG as an Audit Associate and also held position as an Internal Auditor at Medical Card System, Inc. and in the earlier stages at Popular. Alexandra's educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras and continued education in Project Management from Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico.
