Chris Purdy has a diverse work experience spanning various sectors and roles. Chris began their career as a Grant Officer at the Capital Area Community Foundation, where they reviewed and recommended grant proposals from non-profit organizations. Chris then worked as a Research Assistant at the University of the Western Cape, supporting research efforts for the Prospective Urban and Rural Epidemiology (PURE) cohort study.

Moving into the public sector, Chris joined the State of Michigan as an Assistant to the Chief Procurement Officer, managing a team and establishing internal policies and procedures for State contracting processes. Following this, they worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant at CORE Group, developing a field manual for assessing child mortality rates and evaluating program impact.

Chris then transitioned to international development work, starting at Concern Worldwide as an Operations Research Consultant, supporting a USAID-funded child survival research program in Sierra Leone. Chris later joined Population Services International (PSI), initially as a Health Impact Consultant, working on health impact modeling and developing models to quantify the impact of health interventions.

At PSI, Chris took on various roles, including Program Analyst, where they implemented PSI's global monitoring system and managed the migration of reporting systems. Chris then became a Program Manager, coordinating the implementation and configuration of DHIS2 projects in Southern Africa. Later, as the Senior Program Manager, they focused on global business systems.

Their most recent positions at PSI include being the Deputy Director of Digital Health & Monitoring, leading the organization's global digital response to COVID-19 and managing partnerships with technology companies. Currently, Chris serves as the Head of Digital Health Solutions, directing PSI's global digital strategy and overseeing the adoption and development of digital solutions for health impact.

Throughout their career, Chris has demonstrated leadership and expertise in digital health, monitoring and evaluation, program management, research, and policy development.

Chris Purdy has a Masters of Science in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Chris also possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Michigan State University.
