James Peake

James Peake has a diverse work experience spanning over many years in various roles and companies. James currently works at poq as the Head of Delivery, a position they have held since February 2023. Prior to this, they were the Project Management Lead at poq from November 2020 to January 2023, where they were responsible for delivering a portfolio of implementation and CR projects for international retailers. James also managed the Project Manager and L1 Support teams. Before that, they worked as a Project Manager on a fixed-term contract at poq from June 2020 to November 2020.

Before joining poq, James worked at Ann Summers as a Programme/Project Manager from September 2018 to April 2020. During this time, they focused on stabilizing the Supply Chain function following the implementation of a new ERP solution. James also optimized the Supply Chain, resulting in increased outbound pick-rate and output while operating within budget.

James also gained valuable experience at GAME Digital, where they held various roles over a period of several years. James served as the Head of Programme Delivery and IT Operations from April 2018 to August 2018 and as the Head of Programme Delivery from September 2016 to April 2018. In these positions, they were responsible for managing project teams, overseeing project budgets, and ensuring the delivery of business and IT projects aligned with GAME's strategy. James also worked as a Programme/Project Manager from March 2011 to August 2016 and as an MI Manager from November 2009 to March 2011, where they gained experience in various areas such as eCommerce, digital, supply chain, and omnichannel.

At the beginning of their career, James worked at Capgemini UK plc as a Project Manager/Consulting Project Manager from August 1997 to November 2009. Here, they were involved in finance systems upgrades, BI solution integrations, and the recovery and delivery of BI implementation projects for retailers.

James Peake earned a BSC (Hons) degree in Computing from the University of Greenwich, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. In addition to their degree, they have obtained certifications in PRINCE2 Foundation and PRINCE2 Practitioner from AXELOS Global Best Practice in September 2018.
