Shuyu Tian has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Starting in 2015, they worked as a Reservoir Engineering Intern at Chevron, followed by a Production Engineering Internship at Chevron in 2016. In 2017, Shuyu interned at Toyota North America, serving as a Production Engineering Co-op in both Plastics and Final Assembly. In 2018, they worked as an Edison Engineering and Development EID Intern at GE Power and then transitioned to The University of Tulsa as a Research Assistant. In 2019, Shuyu joined UNSW as a Research Assistant and later became a Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Commonwealth University in the same year. Currently, Shuyu is employed as a Product Development Engineer at Porex since 2022.
Shuyu Tian completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University, from 2019 to 2021. Before that, from 2014 to 2019, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering and Economics from The University of Tulsa. In 2019, Shuyu also studied Engineering and Economics at UNSW, although no specific degree was mentioned.
