Amy Simmons

Amy Simmons is an experienced educator currently serving as a teacher at Port Chester-Rye Union Free School District since September 2007. In addition to teaching responsibilities, Amy is actively involved in various leadership roles, such as a member of the Professional Development School Steering Committee and a mentor for student teachers from Manhattanville College. Previously, Amy taught at the ELL Summer Academy from 2012 to 2014, focusing on language-rich learning for English Language Learners. Earlier in Amy's career, positions included Marketing Manager at USA TODAY and Multi-Media Marketing and Research Manager at iVillage, where skills in media sales and promotion were developed. Amy holds a MAT in Elementary Education from Manhattanville University and a BA in Anthropology from New York University.
