Alex Perez

Alex Perez, P.E. is an experienced engineering professional with a career spanning over four decades. Currently serving as the Section Manager for the Highway Construction and Engineering Division at Broward County Government since March 2018, Alex previously held managerial positions at the Florida Department of Transportation, overseeing a staff of 60 responsible for the State Highway System in northern Miami-Dade County. Alex's extensive background includes roles such as Director, Program Manager, and Principal Engineer at the South Florida Water Management District, where responsibilities encompassed a broad range of engineering and project management tasks. Additionally, Alex was the Vice-President at ARCADIS, managing engineering and construction for multi-disciplined projects, and served as the Manager of the Engineering Department at Seacoast Utility Authority. Alex earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with High Honors from the University of Florida from 1974 to 1978.
