Chief Of Department at Port Jefferson EMS

Rob Stoessel has a diverse work experience in the field of emergency medical services. Rob started their career as a Paramedic at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in 2003, where they worked until November 2011. In 2003, they also began working at Port Jefferson EMS as a Paramedic, and eventually progressed to roles such as Paramedic Supervisor, Asst EMS Chief, Deputy EMS Chief, and Executive Director. Rob currently holds the position of Chief Of Department at Port Jefferson EMS, a role they have held since March 2019.

Rob Stoessel obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Emergency Management from SUNY Empire State College from 2003 to 2007. Rob later pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from Anna Maria College from 2010 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, Rob also obtained certifications as a Critical Care Paramedic from Creighton University in January 2014, and as a NYS Paramedic from the NYS Department of Health in September 2002.
