Alexandra Howard has a diverse work experience in the field of policy management and planning. Alexandra is currently working as a Senior Policy Manager at the Port of Portland since July 2022. During this time, they were involved in managing a redevelopment project, preparing reports, reviewing plans, and writing development standards.

Alexandra Howard obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Reed College, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Following that, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Urban Planning from UCLA - School of Public Affairs, completing their studies from 2000 to 2002. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained an Introduction to Incident Command System - ICS-100 certification from FEMA in March 2020 and an Institute of Asset Management Certificate from The Institute of Asset Management in January 2016.
