Manager Terminal Operations & Infrastructure at Port of Portland

Eric van der Burght, CM has a diverse work experience in the aviation industry. Eric started their career at Reno Air in 1993, where they worked in operations for six years. Eric then moved on to Norman Y. Mineta San Jose Int'l Airport, where they served as an airport operations specialist and later as an airport operations supervisor from 1999 to 2002. In 2003, Eric joined American Express as a travel agent for a year. Eric then joined Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport as an airport operations assistant for nine months in 2005. In the same year, Eric joined the Port of Portland, where they have held various roles. Eric initially worked as an Airport Operations Supervisor from 2005 to 2011. Eric then transitioned to the position of Terminal Operations Specialist from 2011 to 2015. Eric's role shifted once more as they became the Common Use Program Manager from 2015 to 2019. Currently, they serve as the Manager of Terminal Operations & Infrastructure, a position they have held since October 2019.

Eric van der Burght, CM completed their Bachelor's Degree in Politics at the University of San Francisco from 1989 to 1993. Later, they pursued a Master's Degree in Public Administration at Portland State University, studying from 2007 to 2011.
