Erik van der Heijden

Erik van der Heijden is an experienced business manager currently serving as the Business Manager for Energy Transition at the Port of Rotterdam since June 2019, focusing on green hydrogen projects, including the development of Hydrogen Conversion parks and international hydrogen trade corridors. Erik also owns and founded Renewton.nl in January 2016, providing interim management and consultancy to accelerate the energy transition in renewable energy, electrification, and hydrogen. Prior to this, Erik held various significant roles at Siemens Nederland N.V. from March 2001 to December 2015, including Head of Cranes Project House and Division Manager for Smart Grid, where Erik managed global projects and had full profit and loss responsibility for Smart Grid activities in the Netherlands. Erik began their career at Delft University of Technology, where Erik earned an MSc in Applied Physics and served as a research assistant.
