Jan Schmal

Jan Schmal has extensive experience in legal roles within the Port of Rotterdam, contributing to the Harbour Master policy department since January 2004 as Senior Legal Counsel, Manager Legal Advice, and Manager Port Legislation and Law Enforcement. Additionally, Jan has held the position of Manager Crisis Management & Port Regulations a.i., also as a member of the Rotterdam Port Authority management team. Prior experience includes being Coordinator Port Legislation & Law Enforcement and Legal Advisor from 1994 to January 2003. Jan Schmal holds two Master of Laws (LL.M.) degrees from Erasmus University Rotterdam, obtained between 1987 and 1994.
