Garry Thompson

Garry Thompson has over 20 years of experience in the Human Resources field, with a proven track record of leading and implementing HR strategies. Garry most recently served as the Head of People at Port of Tyne, where they were responsible for all HR and L&D activities. Prior to that, Garry worked as the People Director at LumiraDx, partnering with various departments to develop and deliver HR strategies. Garry also served as the Human Resources Director at Piramal Pharma Solutions, leading the HR and L&D functions for two facilities and the European commercial team. Garry's experience also includes serving as a Human Resources Business Partner at Leica Biosystems and holding HR manager roles at companies such as Warburtons, Teleperformance, Gestamp, and Samsung Electronics Manufacturing UK Ltd. Overall, Garry brings extensive knowledge and expertise in HR management to their roles.

Garry Thompson completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Northumbria University between 1998 and 2001. Prior to that, they attended Coquet High School from 1986 to 1988. Additionally, Garry obtained certifications from Wiley as an accredited trainer for DISC Profiling and became a member of CIPD in 2002.
