Albert McDaniel is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in game development and software engineering. Currently serving as Co-Founder and Vice President of Engineering at Portalis AI since January 2023, Albert previously held the role of Lead Gameplay Engineer at ArtCraft Entertainment from January 2020 to December 2022. Prior to that, Albert was the Lead Software Engineer at KingsIsle Entertainment, specializing in gameplay systems for Pirate101 and mobile game R&D. Earlier in the career, Albert contributed as Programmer III at Volition, working on major titles such as Saints Row: The Third and Red Faction: Armageddon, and held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Dynamic Animation Systems, focusing on core game engine development. Albert's academic credentials include a Master of Science in Computer Science from The George Washington University and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Genetics and Computer Science from Texas A&M University.
