Derek Kouwenhoven

Derek Kouwenhoven is an experienced Infection Preventionist currently working at The University of Vermont Health Network-Porter Medical Center. Prior to this role, Derek held various leadership positions in healthcare settings, most notably as Director of Clinical Services at Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice and as Nurse Manager and Director of Critical Care Services at The University of Vermont Health Network - Central Vermont Medical Center. Derek holds a Master’s Degree in Nursing Education from Walden University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Registered Nursing from the University of Vermont, and an Associate’s Degree in Paramedic Emergency Medicine from New Hampshire Technical College.
