James W. Smith, P.E., serves as the Principal Distribution Operations Engineer at Portland General Electric since June 2013, focusing on electrical switching procedures, device maintenance, circuit design, and project management in the Sunset high reliability area. James began a career in the food service sector at Legacy Health from April 2001 to March 2007. James earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) from Oregon State University, following an Honors Diploma from Gresham Union High School.
