Srinivasa Sarma

Srinivasa Sarma has over 24 years of work experience in various technology roles. Srinivasa is currently the Chief Technology Officer at PortPro since September 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Software Engineering at C.H. Robinson from June 2019 to May 2020, where they were responsible for Go to Market Strategy, Azure/Hybrid cloud Migration, and Web Application migration.

Before joining C.H. Robinson, Srinivasa served as the VP/CTO of Software Engineering & Co-Founder at Cargo Chief from November 2013 to December 2018. At Cargo Chief, they led the development of a Transportation Management System for trucking and brokerage firms, and implemented innovative ideas for matching systems and connectivity between shippers and truckers. Srinivasa also built complex pricing algorithms and utilized machine learning for automated data extraction.

Earlier in their career, Srinivasa worked at Intuit as a Senior Engineering Manager - Data from October 2007 to July 2012. There, they built a global team and developed the first recommendation engine for the company using Hadoop and machine learning. At eBay, where they were employed as a Software Engineering Manager from August 2003 to September 2007, they successfully migrated the User/Registration domains from C++ to Java and implemented SEO improvements for better page rankings.

Prior to their roles at Intuit and eBay, Srinivasa worked as a Technical Lead at Cognizant Technology Solutions from September 1997 to August 2003.

Srinivasa Sarma pursued their Master's degree in Computer Science from Andhra University. Srinivasa attended the university from 1991 to 1997.
