Daniel Morton

Daniel Morton is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in both software and firmware development. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Posit PBC since May 2023, Daniel previously held the same title at Metropolis for a year. Daniel's career at Spirent Communications spanned over 15 years, where significant contributions included leading the first major open source project, OpenPerf, and integrating it into Spirent products. Additional roles at Spirent involved the technical integration of firmware with hardware, development of traffic generator features for the TestCenter product line, and execution of automated regression testing. Daniel holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Information and Computer Sciences, both from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
