Karen Hairston

Karen Hairston, SPHR, has extensive experience in Human Resources, having held roles such as Human Resources Director, Human Resources Manager, and Director of Human Resources since 1997. Her most recent role was Human Resources Director at Potomac Healthcare Solutions since 2019. Prior to this, they were Human Resources Manager at Harvest Life Church from 2012-2019, where they partnered with managers to create, implement and manage HR strategies, services, and programs, and introduced and implemented a new Employee Handbook. From 2004-2012, they were Human Resources Manager at Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC), where they partnered with managers to investigate and solve employee relations issues, developed and implemented HR policies, and worked cross-functionally to lead implementation of HRIS platform (UltiPro) and performance management tool (SuccessFactors). From 2003-2004, they were Human Resources Manager at Chenega Federal Systems, and from 2000-2003, they were Human Resources Manager at KEI Pearson. Karen began their career in Human Resources as Director of Human Resources at Armstrong Data Systems from 1997-2000.

Karen Hairston, SPHR obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Virginia in 1992. Karen also holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI, obtained in February 2019.
