Florent Baarsch is the Founder and CEO of finres, a position held since December 2019. Concurrently, Florent serves as a Guest Researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research since September 2015, focusing on PhD work regarding the macroeconomic consequences of climate change. Prior to these roles, Florent was a Senior Environmental and Climate Economist at the International Fund for Agricultural Development from July 2017 to December 2019 and worked as a Consultant for The World Bank, delivering training on integrating climate risks into macroeconomic decision-making. Experience also includes research positions at the Ifo Institute and Climate Analytics, where Florent led the Climate Economics team and coordinated projects on climate change impacts in Africa. Florent's educational credentials include a Doctorate in Climate Economics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and a Master’s degree in Law and Economics from Université Jean Moulin (Lyon III).
