Tobias Geiger

Tobias Geiger is a Research Scientist with extensive experience in the field of climate science, currently working at Deutscher Wetterdienst since August 2019, focusing on the socioeconomic impacts of climate change. In addition, Tobias has been a Research Scientist at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research since January 2014, concentrating on climate impacts and vulnerabilities through Global Impact Assessments. Prior academic involvement includes serving as an Academic Employee at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau from 2010 to 2013, and earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the University of Freiburg. Educational qualifications also include a Master of Science (MS) in Physics, Mathematics, and Meteorology from the University of Freiburg, enriched by studies at the University of Nottingham, Academy of Science in Minsk, Belarusian State University, and Kazan State University.
