Tehniat Z.

Tehniat Z. is an experienced attorney currently working at Potter Handy, LLP since January 2021. In addition to this role, Tehniat serves as the Co-Chair of the Environmental Justice Committee for the National Lawyers Guild, a position held since October 2015. Previous legal experience includes roles as an attorney at Landver Law Corporation, APC, and as a staff attorney at Prairie State Legal Services Inc. Tehniat has also gained valuable experience as a law clerk at Yeourshalmi & Yeroushalmi and as a policy council board member at Headstart School. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from York University. Tehniat has contributed to academic and community initiatives, including organizing a workshop on Indigenous Peoples’ resistance to extraction mining for the National Lawyers Guild Conference.
