Kalpesh Parekh

Kalpesh Parekh currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Commercial at Pow.Bio since October 2024, following a tenure as Vice President of Business Development at Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc. from October 2021 to October 2024, where Kalpesh established the Nutrition & Wellness business and led Enterprise Sales. Prior experience includes leading the Companion Animals division at Novozymes, with responsibilities in profit and loss management and innovative partnerships, as well as holding the position of Senior Business Development Manager, where Kalpesh achieved significant sales in low-carbon enzymes. Earlier roles at DuPont Industrial Biosciences and Genencor involved driving growth in bioenergy and biochemicals, while the foundational engineering experience was gained at Genencor and as a research and teaching assistant at the University of Iowa. Kalpesh Parekh holds multiple degrees in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, as well as an MBA in General Management from the University of Iowa.
