Gary M. Balash

Gary M. Balash has extensive experience in the field of energy storage and battery technologies. Currently serving as an AREMA member since August 2024 and holding a significant role as Senior Product Manager in the Reserve Power Division at East Penn Manufacturing Co. since March 1986, Balash also contributes as a member of the IEEE Power Energy Society and the IEEE Standards Association since January 1995. In addition, Balash is involved with the UL Standards Technical Panel and serves as a member and alternate voting member for the NFPA on Energy Storage Safety since September 2021. Gary M. Balash's educational background includes an Associates Degree in Mechanical Drafting Technology from Lincoln Tech, complementing a solid foundation in design gained at Gasboy from 1984 to 1986.
