Andres Villalobos

Andres Villalobos possesses extensive experience in power system protection and control across multiple roles in various organizations. Currently serving as a Power System Protection Consultant and Field Service professional at AVR Engineering Group PSC since October 2015, Villalobos's expertise encompasses protection and control, communications, substation design, short circuit studies, and relay settings. Additionally, as a Protection and Control Test Engineer at Power Grid Engineering, LLC since July 2012, technical proficiency in testing and commissioning is also demonstrated. Previous roles include consultancy and field service at ESOL Engineering Group PSC, a professorship at Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, and significant leadership positions within the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority. Villalobos began a career in quality control at Digital Equipment Corporation, following the attainment of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez Campus.
