Jimmy Yi Chieh Chou

Jimmy Yi Chieh Chou has a diverse work experience. Jimmy Yi Chieh started their career in 2015 as a Corporate Analyst at HSBC Global Banking and Markets where they worked with Relationship Managers to provide financial solutions for multinational corporates and analyzed financial statements and corporate data. In 2018, they joined FleetNews as a Data Analyst where they worked with experienced investment bankers and traders to build a system to automatically bring useful information to the trading floor, built machine learning models to conduct classification tasks on unstructured tweets from Twitter, and crawled websites of Country's Official Statistics Office and Central Bank for economic indicators. Currently, they are a Data Scientist at PowerArena since 2019.

Jimmy Yi Chieh Chou obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Economics from National Tsing Hua University in 2013. Jimmy Yi Chieh then went on to obtain their Master of Science in Business Analytics (Machine Learning & Computer Science Department) from UCL in 2018. In 2017, they also obtained their Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 from CFA Institute and their Financial Risk Manager (FRM) Part I from Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). Most recently, in 2021, they obtained certifications in How to Manage a Remote Team and Agile with Atlassian Jira from Coursera.
